Malcolm (Jock) Gillies is a proud Scotsman and senior financial crime specialist with over four decades of practitioner experience having worked with the British Navy Military service, Scotland Yard and the British Police Force for over 40 years.
He has been involved in several FC Transformation programmes within the Financial Services & Law Enforcement sectors which require his skills in forensic investigations, assessing FC risk exposures, assessing the effectiveness of FC related policies & procedures and designing and delivering numerous training deliverables in AML, Sanctions, Trade Finance, CDD & KYC and AB&C at varied competency levels from beginners to advance/expert levels.
His years in law enforcement and dealing with high profile bribery, fraud and money laundering cases brings added value in case study analysis, policy and procedural drafting and assessing effectiveness, Return on Investment (ROI) and value add analysis on several Change Management / Financial Crime Transformation programmes within banking, oil & gas & insurance sectors.
During his illustrious career, Jock has worked with and offered consultancy/advisory services to the likes of HSBC, Scotland Yard/London Police Force, Santander UK, Higos Insurance, Maritime International Services etc.
